Charlotte Bronte


 Charlotte Bronte, the oldest of the most famous three Bronte sisters, was born in Thornton, in a village where the life expectancy at birth was only twenty fiveyears. Thomas Carlyle


  The most respected Scotish Essayst, critic and Historian Thomas Carlyle was born in the small village of Ecclefeehon, Dam-frieshire. His primary education began me local grammar schoel and his higher education ended at the University of Edinburgh, where he enrolled at the age of fourteen in 1809.

Jonathan Swift


 Well-known satirist writer Jonathan Swift born to parents who had been living in Dublin, Ireland. Swift's father died shortly before he was born and his mother therefore, put him under the care of a governess. Swift was an angry and rebelleous boy who was not good in his studies. But he managed to obtain his degree from Trinity College in Dublin and was given the post of secretary of an English nobleman. Later Swift got a political post in Ireland.

William Shakerspere




  William Shakespeare is widely regarded as the greatest writer of all time. He was born in Stratford-On-Avon, Warwickshire in England 1564 . William’s formal studies ended with grammer school. Shakespeanis name first became associated with the London theatre in 1592 and from 1594 he was listed as a member of the Lord Chamberlain’s Company of Actors which owned London’s best theatre. Shakespeare became a full-time dramatist with this company and took an interest in all aspects of production.

  His probable first play HenryVI, Part I was staged Sometime between 1589 and 1592. Julius Ceaser appeared in 1599 or 1600. These were followed by Hamlet, his Macbeth, the Comedy of Errors, etc. Shakespeare wrote about forty plays and numerous poems such as Venus and Adonis, and The Rape of Lwxelo. William Shakespeare the greatest among the great died in the year 1616.
